Temporary Aide for Needy Families (TANF)

ACS of Georgia is contracted with the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) to establish work sites (jobs) for TANF recipients.  An organizational sub-unit of ACS of Georgia, Team Albany Workforce, was formed to specifically accomplish the goals of the TANF Work Experience Program – job attainment and job retention. 

ACS of Georgia’s Team Albany Workforce has been very successful in marketing the TANF Subsidized Program and Work Experience Program to local business.  Through the use of tools such as www.albanyworkforce.com, our TANF Work Experience program has become a visible and easily accessible program for local businesses. 

ACS of Georgia’s Team Albany Workforce has been able to place more TANF recipients in jobs that allow them to “bring home a check” than any other service provider in our market area.
